Hint: Weapons

To make the weapons and moves that the characters use stronger, get three to four of each of the character symbols.

Hint: Defeating Freddy

To defeat Freddy, you will need lots of lives. Be sure to obtain as many as possible before entering the high school, as you will have to fight all of the bosses one after the other until you reach Freddy.

Hint: Zzz

Sometimes you may find dynamite, which refills your Zzz count. When hit or when standing still, you will begin to lose Zzz. When out of Zzz, enemies are harder, and you cannot collect the ninja, warlock, and warrior dream icons.

Hint: Nightmare

When you have no Zzz left, you will fall asleep. You can only dream-change yourself into the characters' icons you have collected. The boom-box wakes you back up, but you do end up wherever you were when you got the boom-box in the nightmare.

Hint: Unreachable bone

In the high school, there is a location with stairs that go down. At the end of that platform is another platform that is too far to reach. To collect it, first collect all other bones and wait in a safe location until you run out of Zzz and fall asleep. Then, change into the warlock, find that unreachable bone, and get it. Go back and find a boom-box to wake up again.

Hint: Recommended order of buildings

A recommended order in which to enter buildings is, from left to right: outside, second house, first house, run-down house, junk yard, cemetery, high school. Entering them in this order will save time, life, and Zzz.
