All cars

For all cars, enter the magazine menu, then immediately exit. Hold L and press Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down, Down, Up, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, then Start. The sound of an engine will confirm the code has worked. Any of the twenty standard vehicles will then be selectable.

Special cars

For make five special cars selectable (Type-C, Type-M, Type-O, Type-R, and Type-S), complete the game in "King Battle" mode. Enter the "King Battle" menu and load the completed saved game. Enter the car selection screen, then immediately exit. Enter the magazine menu, then immediately exit. Hold Start and press Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, Right, Up, Down, Left, then Right. The sound of an engine will confirm the code has worked.

Destruction derby mode

For destruction derby mode, view all the ads in magazine mode, then hold Y and press Left, Left, Up, Left, Right, Right, Down, then Up at the mode selection screen.

Drag race mode

For drag race mode, view all the ads in magazine mode, then hold R and press Up, Up, Up, Up, Up, Up, Up, Up, Down, Left, Down, Right, Down, Left, then Down at the mode selection screen.
