There are a few situations in the game in which you can gain experience points easily:

After getting Lucia and before fighting the Guardian, stay in the tower and fight monsters to gain experience points and levels. These will be needed when fighting the Guardian.
To gain levels later in the game, you can fight the Chiro enemies in the White Dragon cave. You need to be at level 50 the Triple Sword can be used. Keep in mind that the Chiros will usually run away after one round. When you go into the battle, use everyone's strongest attacks. A victory will net 33 333 experience points and 11 111 silver. This is helpful immediately before Zophar.
After Zophar, go to the area near Neo-vane's crash spot to find a place called Lionhead. There are some tough enemies there. Find the one that looks like a black sphere. This one is hard to defeat without having Leo's Soul Blade because all normal and most magic and technique attacks only hit for 1. To battle it, have Hiro defend while Ronfar uses Angry Dice and revives and heals people. If Lemina has Catastrophe, have her use that, otherwise, have her defend as well. Have Jean defend while Leo uses the Soul Blade, which will do 200-300 damage on the enemy. After about three or four turns it should die, resulting in 22 222 experience points. This can also be achieved by having Hiro use the Concussion Sword and everyone else defend.
At the Cave Of Trial in Neo-Vane, free experience points can be gained from the Scorpion enemies. Retain the default battle positions as the game has them set and give Lemina the Ice Staff so she can hit the enemies with an ice attack. When you fight the Scorpions, have Jean and Hiro attack the top Scorpion to push it back, while Lemina attacks the top Scorpion. Ronfar will not be able to attack because of his range. If done correctly all three Scorpions will be defeated for 560 experience points.
Either before or after Zophar, go to White Dragon Cave and find Chiros, which are the enemies that have a very high defence and run away after one turn. Have Hiro use Triple Sword, Lemina use Catasrophe, Jean use Blue Dragon Fist, and Leo use Soul Blade. Equip Ronfar with Earth Crest/Thunder Crest or Water Crest/Thunder Crest or Water Crest/Fire Crest or Fire Crest/Wind Crest combinations so that he can use Pulse Explosion. Pulse Explosion is the only thing that can kill Chiro.

Hint: Make Ruby kill a leader

When fighting the Guardian, get Hiro and Gwyn to trap the Guardian in the corner and keep Lucia alive. Allow Hiro and Gwyn to die, making it a stalemate. Ruby will jump in and kill the Guardian.

Hint: Dashing item combo

Equip a character with the Yellow Pyjamas, Gorgon Doll, and Rubber Boots. Your dungeon dashes will then last four times the usual duration, however, the pyjama-wearing character will be asleep when you get into a fight.

Hint: Goddess Crest

Put the Goddess Crest on a warrior and your attack will be increased.
Put the Goddess Crest with the Gale Crest (found in the dragon's nest north of the Holy City in the Epilogue) and your number of attacks will increase.
Put the Goddess Crest with the Magic Eye Crest and the amount of magic you need to use will be decreased (for example, Lemina's Freeze Smash normally uses 20 MP. However, if you have the Goddess Crest and the Magic Eye Crest this will be reduced to 10 MP).

Hint: Raise range

Combining Shiro and Chiro Crest will raise the player's range to 200.

Hint: Crest combos

Place the Chiro Crest and the Shiro Crest together to increase speed and get 200 range. Place the Thunder Crest and the Wind Crest together to get Thunder Wind magic. Place the Power Crest with any Crest of magic (Mute, Poison, Thunder) and your physical attack will sometimes inflict damage/status of that crest's type. Note: You must have both crests on the same person.
