For 99 lives, press A, Left, Up, C, A, Right, then Down when the word "Beware" appears on the opening screen. The screen border will turn white to confirm correct code entry. Press A and Start to pause the game. The number of lives remaining will be set to ninety-nine when game play is resumed.
