At the first screen of level 1, kill the first ninja that you come upon, then get as close to the tree on the right as possible and shoot it rapidly for about 15 minutes (a rapid-fire or auto-fire controller works best). Then, continue to play the rest of the level. If you achieve 0% in the bottom right of your score screen, you will be awarded 10 extra lives and thousands of points.
This cheat requires the Pro Action Replay cheat device.
