For infinite lives, start a 2-player game (change to 2-player mode via the Config screen) and obtain a high score for both players. Intentionally have one player lose all lives, then enter the name ALIEN on the high score screen. The remaining player will then be awarded infinite lives when the game resumes.
Start a 2-player game (change to 2-player mode via the Config screen) and immediately get killed. Go back and select 1-player mode and when you start game play, you should have extra bullets.
This cheat requires the Pro Action Replay cheat device.
