Alternative character colours

When choosing a character, use the Start button to select him/her. He/she will have a different coloured outfit.

Secret Option Mode

To enter Secret Option Mode, choose your fighter, then hold Start when the plane flies to the next location. This will display the controls. You can then change your controls as desired.

Ultimate Game Play mode

To access Ultimate Game Play Mode, press Down and Z, Up and X, A, Y, B then C. You will then be able to use only special moves when fighting.

Super Champion Mode

To access Super Champion Mode, use a six-button controller to press Down, Z, Up, X, A, Y, B then C at the title screen when the buildings appear to stop moving and the Street Fighter 2 logo can be seen. If done correctly, you should hear Zangief say something. A three-button controller can also be used to achieve this. Just press Down, C, Up, A, A, B, B then C instead.

Mirror match

For a mirror match (two of the same character against one another), go to Group mode and on the screen with two modes to choose from, press Down, Z, Up, X, A, Y, B then C on controller 2 using a six-button controller. You will hear Chun Li say something if the cheat as worked. This can also be done using a three-button controller. Just press Down, C, Up, A, A, B, B, C on controller 2.

Fight as Dark Ryu

To fight as Dark Ryu, choose "Champion" at the main menu, then highlight Ryu at the character selection screen and hold Start for two seconds. When the match begins, Ryu will have darker skin.

Fight as Blue Blanka

To fight as Blue Blanka, choose "Champion" at the main menu, then highlight Blanka at the character selection screen and press Start.

Fight as Hyper M.Bison

To fight as Hyper M. Bison, choose "Hyper" at the main menu, then highlight M. Bison at the character selection screen and press Start.

Alternative ending

To view the alternative ending, complete the game with any character on difficulty setting "4" or higher.
