Cheat mode

For cheat mode, press Right eight times at the mode selection screen that contains the "Scenario" option. Then press Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, then II. Options to set the speed up to ten stars and to play as Graneel or Moonrize will appear.

Special Config menu

For the Special Config menu, slowly press Right eight times at the "Mode Select" screen to cycle through the screens until the "Versus" screen appears. Slowly press Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, then II to cycle through the screens again to unlock the "Special Config" mode option.

CPU control

For CPU control, pause the game during a Versus mode match, then press I, II and Select together. When you resume the game, the CPU will take control.
