Mario Bros.
Game Review
What a classic! An excellent game for its time. Mario Bros is a
kind-of strategy game featuring everyone's favourite plumbers; Mario
and his brother Luigi (thus the title "Mario Bros").
In this game, you must get rid of the pests that come out of the
pipes by punching the platform beneath them. The levels get progressively
harder with new creatures that are more difficult to attack, and
faster speeds. Points are given when you knock the stunned creatures
off the platform, and for collecting coins rewarded to you. Bonus
rounds are included from time to time, in which you must collect
all of the coins within the time limit.
The graphics in the game are well done for an early NES game. It
is quite colourful, besides the plain black background, which is
common in early NES games. Sounds and music are simple, but suitable.
Mario Bros is still a fairly fun game to play, even today, and will
give you a lot of enjoyment.
