Unlimited Lives

On the red screen at the start, hold button 1 until a blank screen appears. Now, hold the RESET button until you see Riki appear in the top left corner of the screen. Riki will die and his life meter will fill up. Once this happens, release the RESET button and start playing. If the cheat has worked, the graphics in the first level will be scrambled, but you will have unlimited lives.

Bonus Level

After defeating Wang and the Princess is saved, repeatedly tap UP, DOWN on the directional pad and press 1 and 2 before the red screen appears again and you'll enter the secret 7th level.
