Power-ups

For power-ups on almost every item, select the XQ49. Then, allow the second Boss on the third level to destroy your ship one time only. Complete the level with your next ship, then purchase one of any of the following items at the shop: power shot, side shooters, back shooters, auto fire, super shields, or lasers. You will receive a refill of everything except mega bombs and lives.

Life mini-game

Power on the Lynx and press A twice to display the character selection screen. Hold OPTION 1 and press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, then UP.

Start with 19 lives and power-ups

To start with 19 lives, 20 megabombs, full inventory and refreshing energy, press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, B, A, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, DOWN, then DOWN.

Start with 100 lives and power-ups

To start with 100 lives, 100 megabombs, full inventory and refreshing energy, press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, B, A, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, then UP.

View Programmers and gain power-ups

Enter one of the following codes at the character selection screen to view the corresponding programmer and receive full inventory and refreshing energy:
Chuck: Hold OPTION 1 and press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, then LEFT.
Matt: Hold OPTION 1 and press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, then DOWN.
Chris: Hold OPTION 1 and press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, then UP.
Stephen: Hold OPTION 1 and press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, then RIGHT.
