Easily Destroy Ships

This cheat will work most of the time, but not all. It will allow you to destroy ships easily. Go to the scanner screen, then move your ship so you see a Zylon ship straight in front of you. Now hit FIRE. On the scanner screen, wait till your torpedo just touches the Zylon ship. At this exact point, switch between back and forward views and the torpedo should completely destroy the ship.
