Easy Mode

For easy mode, hold Fire and power on the Atari system. After about 2 seconds, release the button. In this mode, Superman will always remain as Superman, and the bridge will not explode, although pieces of it will still appear in the subway. Capture Lex Luthor and his men and return to the Daily Planet to complete the game.

The above cheat won't work on later versions of the game. To activate it in later versions, press Fire after you drop to the phone booth and are at the same level of elevation as the subway entrance and press Select. Waith for the screens to cycle to the subway entrance and move the Directional Pad/Joystick so that you appear at the subway. You are then able to walk side to side or fly downwards until you get to the bridge screen where you will automatically regain your powers without the bridge exploding.
