HES Unidaptor MKII

Accessory

Type: Media Size/Region Adaptor

The Unidaptor MKII is an adaptor from Home Entertainment Suppliers (HES) for the NES that allows foreign cartridges to be played on the system. It is the size of a NES cart but with 2 cartridge ports on the back end. The foreign cartridge is inserted into one of these cartridge ports. You must then insert a local official NES cartridge into the other port so that the adaptor will work. It needs to get past the lock-out chip using this local cart because inserting the foreign cartridge alone will not work.

The Unidaptor MKII is similar to the Game Key adaptor in that it is designed for 72-pin NES cartridges. If you wanted to play a 60-pin Famicom cartridge using this adaptor, you\'d need to first insert the 60-pin cartridge into a 60-pin to 72-pin adaptor, and then insert the paired devices into the Unidaptor. The original HES Unidaptor is a larger device that has inputs for both 72-pin and 60-pin cartridges.
